Quick answer: This guide identifies several easily confused LQ901 parts and covers the main checks when rubber bands cannot be loaded or do not fire after the trigger is pulled. For the full build sequence, use the Assembly Guide. If a part is missing, broken, uncut, or visibly warped, request it through Part Replacement.

Before You Troubleshoot
- Engage the safety and remove all rubber bands before opening or adjusting the mechanism.
- Keep the instruction manual open at the step you are checking.
- Compare the marked face, notch, curve, and edge of each part with the reference image; do not rely only on the printed part number.
- Do not force the loading or trigger mechanism. Correct any reversed part first.
Parts Reference
How can I tell P12 and P13 apart?
P12 and P13 have different thicknesses. Compare their side profiles with the reference image before using either shaft.
What does P9 look like?
P9 is the small transparent bushing shown in the bag below. Because it is clear, check the bag carefully before treating it as missing.
Where are P16, P17, and P18?
P16, P17, and P18 are packed together in the accessory bag indicated by the red arrow. Check this bag before starting the step that joins these hardware pieces.
Shooting Problems
Why can't rubber bands be loaded?
One or more loading-mechanism parts may be reversed. Check the following five locations against the reference images:
P1: Confirm that its curved, toothed end faces the same direction as the red arrow.
D9 and D10: Confirm that the raised and angled edges match the reference.
B6: Check the small rounded part indicated by the arrow and reverse B6 if its face does not match the image.
F6: Confirm that the projecting end points in the direction shown by the arrow.
D20 and D21: Compare the tab and wheel position with the image and reverse the assembly if they face the opposite way.
Why don't the rubber bands fire after the trigger is pulled?
Check these four trigger and firing-mechanism details:
P22 steel shaft: Confirm that the 20 mm P22 shaft is installed in the marked position and that P9 is fitted as shown.
Part A waste tab: Remove the small waste piece highlighted by the red box completely so it cannot obstruct movement.
F1: Confirm that F1 faces the same direction as the reference image.
P11: Check that P11 is present at the position indicated by the red arrow.
