Creativity Meets Community: Robotime at the CPAC Gala 2026

Robotime’s presence at the 2026 CPAC Annual Gala showed how creativity can do more than inspire; it can bring people together, support meaningful causes, and make community impact feel personal.

The Chinese Professionals Association of Canada (CPAC) hosted an evening of purpose and celebration at its 2026 Annual Gala, held on February 28 at the Hilton Toronto/Markham Suites Conference Centre. Centered on the theme "Breaking Barriers, Driving Change," the event brought together professionals, community leaders, businesspeople, and advocates in support of programs that promote equity, inclusion, empowerment, and opportunities for immigrant communities.

Robotime stepped in as an official sponsor amidst the usual mix of awards, networking, and cultural celebration. Its signature focus on creativity and hands-on building created a delightful spark of curiosity in a hall defined by formal conversations, fundraising, and recognition ceremonies.

The CPAC Annual Gala this year attracted hundreds of distinguished guests, including businessmen, professionals,  leaders, and public servants.

Miniatures Attracting Big Attention

Positioned near the entrance, Robotime's booth quickly became a natural gathering point for most of the night, drawn by the intricate miniature displays that stood out against the more traditional gala setting.

The booth was manned by community star Miriam Reina, known online as @Orangesaurus, who passionately introduced the world of DIY building to guests who stopped by. She answered questions about Robotime's products, explained the assembly process, and testified to the appeal and benefits of miniature crafting in a room filled with high energy and excitement.

"It was such a special experience to share the magic of tiny builds and big creativity with so many wonderful people. One of my favorite parts of being involved with Robotime is watching people discover the kits for the first time. There is always that moment when someone leans in, looks closely at the miniature details, and suddenly you see their inner child come out. It is a little bit of curiosity, a little bit of ‘how is this so tiny?', and then usually the words, ‘Okay… I think I need one.'"

Curiosity to Connection

That reaction repeated itself throughout the evening. Guests paused, leaned in, and stayed longer than they expected.

"Crafting and building miniatures has such a unique way of bringing people together," Miriam added. "It does not matter where someone comes from or what they do. When they see a tiny bookstore, café, or little world built piece by piece, it sparks imagination and conversation instantly."

In a room filled with accomplished professionals, that sense of shared curiosity became an unexpected bridge. What began as a quick glance at a miniature quickly evolved into longer exchanges.

"I had an amazing time chatting with everyone! Our booth was live most of the night, got a lot of questions, and some networking! Miriam shares.

Supporting the Cause

Robotime had a bigger role in the event beyond visibility. As an official sponsor, the company contributed directly to its broader mission as a charitable initiative.

The CPAC Annual Gala is the organization's most important annual fundraising event, with proceeds supporting research, advocacy, training, and public education programs aimed at combating anti-Asian racism and promoting equity and inclusion.

By taking part as a sponsor, Robotime became part of that support system, helping fuel initiatives that create opportunities for immigrant professionals and strengthen leadership within the community, and Miriam is proud to be part of it.

"I am so glad to be able to support the charity aspect of the company! I hope I get to do more of it!" she says.

At the same time, the brand brought its own interactive layer to the evening. Robotime sponsored prizes for the gala's lucky draw segment, awarding DIY miniature kits to selected winners, with Miriam hosting the activity. The giveaway added a sense of excitement while reinforcing the company's belief that creativity is something to be shared.

"Seeing people come up to pick up their prizes after the raffle draw was such a joyful moment. The excitement and smiles made it incredibly memorable. It gave me the chance to connect with many of the attendees and share my genuine passion for the brand and the creativity behind these amazing kits." Miriam enthused.

This dual role reflected Robotime's broader commitment to initiatives that "celebrate creativity, collaboration, and positive community impact," and its participation in the CPAC Gala translated that idea into real-world action.

Cheers from the Robotime Community

One of the most notable aspects of Robotime's participation was how strongly it leaned on its community. Rather than a purely corporate presence, the brand was represented by one of its brand ambassadors and community inspirations.

With her success in this role, both Miriam and Robotime received huge praise from community members.

"I have found that creating miniatures, although seen by some as a waste of time, is also found by many people to be a wonderfully immersive journey into creativity and peace of mind. Congratulations Robotime and Miriam for bringing that joy to others and promoting the brand," writes @Suzanne_Jones.

"Supporting meaningful events like this truly shows the brand's commitment to community and creativity," adds @Jill_Francisco.

"It's really inspiring to see Robotime supporting events like this and bringing creativity into spaces that connect people and communities. And how special that Miriam represented the brand, it truly shows how much the community means," shared @Wenbare.

"It's amazing to see Robotime sponsoring yet another charity event. You guys are such an incredible and generous company. Also well done to our lovely Miriam, you go girl!" praised @JDisaduck.

Hands that Build, Hearts that Help

Robotime's presence at the CPAC Gala reflects a growing intention of not just inspiring people to build, but to participate in spaces where that creativity can contribute to something meaningful.

That sense of purpose points to what comes next. Spreading the joy of building is only part of the story. For Robotime, it is about building more than just models, but taking that same creativity and using it to support meaningful causes, uplift communities, and create shared experiences that truly matter.
