How Do I Install the P35 Speed-Limiting Disc?
Turn all three screws at the same time so the disc lowers evenly and stays balanced. Turn the screws slowly. If the disc starts to tilt, adjust one screw separately until the disc is balanced again.
How High Should the Steel Shaft Be?
The steel shaft must not be higher than the board.
How Far Should I Press Part I2?
Press I2 completely to the end.
Where Should the Steel Shaft Sit at Turntable E28?
The steel shaft needs to protrude and block turntable E28 below.
Rotation Problems
Why Won't the Gramophone Rotate by Hand or by Electricity?
Manual rotation
① Check whether A2 is missing or assembled in the wrong position.
② If deterioration of the antiskid tube causes the rubber band to slip, replace antiskid tube P34.
① Insert in the wrong hole: Insert the plug into the bottom hole. The top hole assists rotation after the power is switched on.
② Volume is too loud: Set the initial volume to the lowest level, then turn it up after the gramophone begins to rotate slowly.
③ If you hear only a sizzling sound after switching on the power and the gramophone does not rotate, there may be a problem with the circuit board. Request a replacement part from customer service.
④ After switching on the power, it is normal to wait for a while until the gramophone begins to rotate slowly.
⑤ If the handle and some gears rotate but the record does not, the antiskid tube may be aging. Replace it.
Reduce the spacing between the ratchet and the rubber band as shown.
The rubber band may fall off the antiskid tube and onto the steel shaft.
⑥ If the gramophone rotates too slowly, set the speed-limiting adjustment turntable to the highest setting.
Sound Problems
What Should I Check for Sound Problems?
① If you hear a sizzling sound after switching on the power and the gramophone does not rotate, check whether the power is connected to the circuit board, the switch is on, and the volume is not set to 0.
② If the gramophone rotates without sound, check whether the terminals are plugged in tightly and in the correct positions.
③ Poor tone quality: The Classic Gramophone is not professional music equipment, so its tone quality will differ from professional equipment. For a specific sound-quality problem, contact customer service and send a sound file.
